H.E. Igor Neverov is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Sweden. Russia, the country of 142 million people covering more than a ninth of the Earth's land area is close to Sweden geographically, but even more importantly we are closely interconnected throughout history sharing one common Baltic and Nordic neighbourhood. Through the ages the relationship unfolded as a saga, dramatic and turbulent, yet there is no lack of mutual respect and interest to learn and understand each other better. Our two nations now enjoy two centuries of peace between us finding our own roads towards prosperity and sustainable development but destined to cooperate to address common challenges.
