The U.S.and Sweden enjoy an extensive and dynamic partnership that is based on shared values and common interests. Our two countries have a vibrant commercial relationship; people-to-people connections are rich; and the U.S. and Sweden work together to address global issues of mutual concern--from NATO partnership and development aid in Afghanistan, to promoting democracy and human rights in North Africa, to concern about the European financial crisis. U.S. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski will look back at his first year as Ambassador in Sweden and will share his perspectives on the strength of the U.S.-Swedish relationship and how our partnership can grow ever stronger.
